Ahhhhh! Men!

And it's not even my own hubby I'm ranting about! Yesterday we went to the county fair and took Hailey's boyfriend. ( I accidentally invited him and didn't have the heart to tell him it was a miscommunication, but that's a whole different thread!) Anyway they were giving away a free guinea pig and he wanted it so bad. I was like "NO WAY"! I finally got sick of him begging and told him to call his mom, thinking she'd say no. Well, he called his dad and he said yes. So we toted this animal home last night. He calls this morning wanting to know if we'll take it because his mom said no way!

I knew I should've called his mom and confirmed it with her, but I figured if his dad okayed it, it was good. Turns out when he got home his dad didn't even tell his mom, he let it be a surprise! I feel so bad. I know his dad said yes, but I should've known better than to trust that since his mom would probably be the one stuck with the responsibility! Lesson learned!

And no, we're not taking it either.

I feel bad for the kids, but I kinda think he was trying to circumvent his mom. So, what are you doing with the guinea pig?

His mom said he has to find a home for it. His dad is still saying he can keep it. It's their problem now!

Oh my! I hope they find him a home soon and the boy isn't too terribly disappointed. The parent's should really come to an agreement so he doesn't get confused over it.

I agree mom and dad should get on the same page. They took it to a pet store, so it will be okay.
